Ashtanga yoga literally means in Sanskrit eight limbs of yoga. This is a complete method created to transform the body, the mind and our consciousness. The limb related to the asanas (poses) consists of six different sequences of postures combined with the rhythm of breath and a special mental focus. At first, the combination of postures, the rhythm of breath and the special mental focus purifies and cleanses the body to prepare it for a next level in which the nervous system and our life as a whole experience a deep transformation. It was inspired by Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois through his teacher Krisnamacharia in India, and has been transferred from teachers to students in a traditional way in order to preserve its purity. This system is the root of many varieties of modern yoga in the Western world. If you want to learn the traditional and proved method, this is for you. It is a personalized method which can be adapted to everyone’s physical and mental condition to develop strength, focus, flexibility, inner peace, stability, confidence and much more…
